ABOUT ME
I began my Thatching apprenticeship in 2016 working in and around Devon for multiple Thatchers which allowed me to pick up many different skills and techniques of the trade along the way. This I believe to be very valuable as the trade has so many methods of getting to the finished product which vary amongst different areas and all over the country. Using the valuable knowledge I’ve picked up from working with a variety of Thatchers from around the country I’ve sculpted my own style of thatching with two main focus points in mind, aesthetics and longevity.
ABOUT ME
The main draw to working in the Thatching trade is the wonderful locations we get to work in amongst the countryside and coastlines. We also get to meet a great variety of customers which then gives us a warm sense of satisfaction when a job is completed and everyone is left happy with the final product. Also the on going learning process is what keeps the job interesting. Every house being so different in age, size, shape and how it was previously thatched requires on the spot problem solving which keeps our job fun.
